Yaay! A new journal! And it's not a tag/questionaire/thing! xD
For anyone who cares, here's a few updates:
Amaravati is progressing nicely. I just finished another sketch page and Redux Itha just had her first run-in with Redux Lance. Fun times, but not for Itha... poor girl will be scared out of her mind until I draw the next page.... 'nuff said. You'll see it soon enough

Also, I'm thinking about drawing up a set of preview/trailer pages for the comic that will come out on the Monday, Wednesday and Friday before the comic's refreshed debut. What do you think? Good idea or bad?
You can also look forward to the arrival of a host of new characters over the next little while. I re-discovered my poor, neglected Zaan Darksight recently and now he and his friends are making a huge comeback in my mind
Hot on Zaan's heels are my Legends of Iraeu characters. LoI is the first story I attempted to write after my Red Raven disaster in grade 7, right after my RP debut. It's all about horses so I'm looking forward to drawing all four herds, and although the original story needs some serious work the idea actually wasn't too bad, as I discovered upon re-reading it. I'm considering re-writing it properly, this time with an ending.
Finally, there have been three new characters slowly emerging in my mind over the last two days: Laughing Wolf, Raincrow, and Kamikaze. They will probably come in two forms, since I can't decide whether to make them equine or humanoid. Maybe some kind of shape shifters? Anyway... they're going to be based on three unique civilizations. Laughing Wolf is strongly based on aboriginal North American culture, a proud dancer with beads and feathers woven into dark hair. Raincrow is Mayan/ Aztec, a hunter who watches the skies for signs of the apocalypse. Kamikaze comes straight from (I grant no prizes for guesses xD) Japanese Kabuki theatre, with vibrant red paint across pale skin to rival even that of Itharelandriel.
For Christmas I'm doing prints for my friends and family, as per usual. I'm trying to find ways to cut printing costs, so I think I'll do smaller pictures, put them all on a single file, print one or two large ones, and then cut out each individual postcard print. Does that sound ok? Or am I just cheap? hahaha
I'm definately getting at least three larger ones printed though. ....What are you looking at me like that for? I'm not telling you until after Christmas when the gifts have been given! hahaha
Finally.... Does anyone know how to beat the Crimson Prankster (Trickster?) in Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days??? I've had to put the game aside for a while to let my frustration die down but I really, really, really want to keep playing....*sniffle*
If you have any awesome secrets (even just what level you were when you beat it) to share, let me know! Note: I don't have Blizzaga or Aeroga because I tend not to use them.

Ok, so... that's it with the good stuff. I'm going to take a moment now to use this here dA journal as my personal soapbox/ ranting station. Why? Because Gaia Online, or should I say the members of, have enraged me.
See... I posted in the Writers' Forum to ask if anyone would like me to write a kind of 'Ask Sally' article in my journal. It wasn't exactly a perfect idea and I posted a poll for peoples' opinions as well. Upon reflection, it was a kind of stupid idea and I wouldn't ask again. I got a single 'maybe' answer, and then a page worth of condescending remarks from the forum's regulars. In the space of a page, I was accused of ignorange, delusion, and ignoring people on purpose. When I attempted to defend myself, I got more snotty remarks. And the worst part? I can't do anything about it. There is no way to report people for being that rude on Gaia, and it sucks. It really, really sucks.
Here on dA, there is a supportive community, except for a few bad apples. On Gaia's Writers' and Art Forums, it's the opposite. The regulars are a bunch of snobby jerks who shoot newbies (like me) out of the sky before we've even had a chance to spread our wings.
I've been on Gaia for 10?? days. One day I'll figure out how many years that is... 2 and a bit, I think.... anyway, that's neither here nor there. The point is that I've been in those forums a few times and I've either gotten no response, or an incredibly rude one. I don't want to chat in there anymore, but that's the only assured way to get gold fast. I wish there was a higher authority I could go to, but I can't. I'm reduced to ranting on another site because these jerks basically run Gaia. *grumblescreamrawr*
I don't want to start anything crazy, so I won't post any links or copy-and-paste any of the conversation. All you need to know is that these people are jerks. And if you happen to know who these people are on dA (in all your impressive omnipotence)....don't tell me. At the moment it is making me giggle to think of spamming their inboxes with really random, immature, and rude phrases using a fake account and e-mail.
I'd love to hear your thoughts on this. Has it, or anything similar, happened to you? Talking is like my therapy... I've gotten 90% of it off my chest, and I'll likely think this is all very stupid in a week, but in the meantime I'd love to slam some n00bs.
If you read to the bottom of this journal, I salute you. Have a cookie. *hands out cookies*

THEN the prank thingy was pretty much over so I changed it to bouncy-Talise....
THEN someone called me out and told me "we're not allowed to recolor that lineart even though the person who made it is letting people recolor that lineart" (idk either
SOOOOOOOOOOO I changed it back to my old one and asked said lineart-maker if I could recolor her lines (just to be safe) and until she replies and gives me the go-ahead I'm gonna keep this one.
ICON MADNESS!
